Not much is written about these stunning rock paintings. Maybe, this could be because of their remoteness some 45KM off the tarred Harare- Nyamapanda highway. These caves are in Charewa and are known as the most visible rock art in Zimbabwe. A visit is worth the drive. |

The cave is a little remote but the climb to the cave is worth the effort. Some of the paintings depict ‘mother of goddesses’, arrow of sickness, many reclining figures and a variety of animals.

The Mudzi/Mutoko area is adorned with many areas with amazing scenic views. The area is characterised by rocky hills overlooking valleys. The balancing rock feature is almost found everywhere. Sunsets are spectacular. |
